The Transat Québec Saint-Malo is an international high-level sporting event which is bringing together the best ocean professional multihull and monohull racers every four years. As of July 14th, 2012, the Transat Village will propose a wide range of activities for everyone. All will then have the opportunity to enjoy seeing the boats before their departure on Sunday, July 22nd.

Enjoy this event live by using the unique mapping features proposed by our official mobile application. This will give you access to functionalities and information layers to better follow and understand the skippers’ moves along the race. You will be able to know the location of each boat and its ranking, consult specific information for each yacht and crew, and get accurate weather precisions corresponding to their own position.
Quickly locate one of the participating cities along the St. Lawrence portion of the race based on the boats position.

Overlay additional information layers on top of the map:
-Satellite imagery;
-Day/night layer;
-Wind layer;
-Swell layer;
-Multimedia layer (images and videos supplied by crews).

Using the history mode, you can relive the race from start whenever you need.

Not only will the mapping application allow you to follow the race, but it will give you access to information on all the activities held in Québec City and Saint-Malo before and after the race. Depending on your own GPS location, you can easily know where program events take place, or find the nearest restaurants, bars, hotels, parking lots and ATMs. You can also access a routing function to help you getting around during the event.

This application is your solution to fully enjoy this memorable event from start to end.

About the Transat:

The very first Transat Québec Saint-Malo set sail in 1984 to mark the 450th anniversary of explorer Jacques Cartier’s first voyage from Saint-Malo to the Gulf of St. Lawrence in 1534.
Every four years since then, the Transat has brought together the best professional monohull and multihull ocean racers around for an epic Atlantic crossing from Quebec City to Saint-Malo.
One of the classic offshore yacht races, the Transat Québec Saint-Malo is the only continuous west-to-east offshore crewed race in the world.
